If you have a partnership with a hotel/camping or other business, you may want to create a discount code for them to offer their guests. Or if a customer calls and wants to cancel their booking due to bad weather or illness. Then a voucher should be offered so that the customer can book another day.
It is important that all bookings are made via the booking system in order to get it right.
To create a new discount code/voucher
Log in to your admin page.
In the menu on the left, click on “Coupons“.
Here you can see all the discount codes/vouchers that have been added to your station. You can see what it is called, whether it is active or expired, what type of code (discount/voucher), how big is the discount and action where you can change your code by clicking on “Edit Coupon”.

- Click on “Create coupon“.
- Select the name of the discount code, i.e. the one that people should fill on the website to access the discount.
- Select the type. Discount = discount. Voucher = voucher.
If discount, you can choose whether it should be a fixed amount or a % rate. For partnerships, the % rate is usually the most common. In the case of a voucher, it is a fixed sum, which is usually used if someone wants to cancel due to bad weather or similar. - Amount, how much, either a fixed sum or a % rate depending on the previous choice.
- Max usage: Number of times the code should work. If you want it to work an unlimited number of times, leave the box blank.
- When should the code start and when should it end. The customer will be able to book with the code between the dates you specify it to be valid, however, it applies to paddling at any time during the season.
- Save.
Example 1: There is an outdoor event on the weekend of 11-13 June and you want to create a discount code that is only valid for paddling this weekend but you want to be able to book now.
Then you choose today’s date as the start date and the end date will be 13 June. After the event, you can go in and deactivate the code so it is no longer valid.
Example 2: You want to create a code that is valid for canoeing throughout the summer, but the customer should only be able to use the code and make the booking in the first week of June, then you set between these dates.

If you need to change your discount code/voucher, e.g. change the validity period, amount or similar, then just click on “Edit Coupon” at the far right of each code.
NOTE! You can not change the name, but in that case you have to deactivate the code and create a new one. You can also not delete a code but again you have to deactivate.
