Being able to buy gifts or vouchers has been requested by both customers and your operators, and is now available to buy/sell on denna address (select country at the top of the header). Read through the information on that link, so you can see what the customer can buy and what it means.
Note that each card is only valid for the station(s) you operate, not for the whole country;
Customers find their way to the web shop for example via a link from kayakomat.com, from central advertising on e.g. Facebook and from your local operators’ initiatives;
Here's how it works
- The possibility to buy gifts and vouchers is promoted by you as an operator and by KAYAKOMAT centrally;
- A customer buys one of these cards;
- KAYAKOMAT support will contact the customer with a voucher (created via the admin page), instructions and a voucher code.
- Payment for the purchase of these cards is made the month after purchase.
- Here is a link you can give to customers you want to give a 30% discount and here one if you want to give a 50% discount (UK only). These exist because several operators have requested this;
Sell vouchers and gift cards all year round
Here are some tips on how you can increase sales of vouchers and gift cards for your station all year round:
- Both the gift card and the voucher are perfect for birthday and Christmas presents. This summer, customers can ask for it as a Christmas present, or give it to someone they want to take with them next year;
- Recommend the punch card as a value purchase for the wellness money collected (note: up to each company to approve).
- Where in your city can you buy gift vouchers? Contact them!
- Put an info sign about this on/near your kayakomat stand
- Ask KAYAKOMAT HQ to send out a local newsletter to your customers to spread the word. Send us text and picture!
- Use social media, your own contacts, local Facebook groups, contacts at companies and so on to recommend buying this!

Gift cards are also sold on the website Upplevelse.com (for Sweden). Here, upplevelse.com takes 15% commission on the purchase, and payment is made after the season. We are here because we want to sell as many cards as possible!
Gift vouchers (SWEDEN)
You can sell gift vouchers for SEK 600 each; the customer receives a value code to use for booking. This is a good product to promote for Christmas, Mother’s Day and so on and as a tip for birthdays.
The target audience is those who already enjoy canoeing, or customers you already have and can attract with a friend.
Spread the word on social media, if you organise events or to HR departments in companies who can recommend fun activities to their employees to use the wellness allowance for;
Clip card (Sweden)
You can sell punch cards for SEK 199, which have a value of SEK 3000 worth of paddling;
The target audience here is not only those who already paddle frequently, but it also makes a great gift or is suitable for those who want to learn to paddle during the season or who want to find a fun way to exercise during the summer months;
Based on previous purchases, it is clear that the average customer did not use up the full value, so usually the discount given at the time of purchase is earned. These cards are good to sell before the start of the season!
