How to: assemble your KAYAKOMAT

Assembly guides for the various different types of KAYAKOMAT Stations.

What's in this article?

Before you start

Please make sure you’ve read our section about delivery before you start. You can find it here
Key points:

  1. Be Present for Delivery – NTEX will call 1-2 hours in advance, and unloading must be completed within 30 minutes.
  2. Unload Carefully – The driver will not assist, so prepare 2-4 people or a forklift if possible.
  3. Check for Damages & Missing Items – Inspect and take photos immediately if needed. Contact KAYAKOMAT for support.
  4. Prepare Your Setup Area – Ensure the ground is flat and stable before starting assembly.

We recommend that you build the KAYAKOMAT the same day it is delivered, but this is not always possible or desirable. If you build the KAYAKOMAT at a later date after delivery, you must ensure that the kayaks and racks are protected from the weather and theft.

Tools needed

Here is a list of tools you will need.
(See also the manual for your particular KAYAKOMAT model)

Different types of Kayakomats

In our product range we have different types of KAYAKOMATs. We are continuously developing and customising the KAYAKOMAT station to improve its function, choice of materials and manufacturing process. The KAYAKOMAT is available in different sizes with 6, 9 or 12 slots.

Below you will find, among other things, instructions on how to prepare the site where the station is to be assembled, the delivery procedure and a list of the tools we recommend you have available. You will also find assembly manuals for all our models.

Assembling your Kayakomat

Below you will find guides to the actual assembly depending on which Kayakomat you are going to assemble. It’s hard to say how long it will take to set up the station. It can take 4 to 6 hours for professional builders and up to two days if you are inexperienced. While many assemble the station in a day, we recommend planning for up to two days to allow for varying experience levels, site conditions, and tool availability. Reviewing the assembly guide or video beforehand is strongly encouraged. We also recommend that you are at least 2 people when assembling because many steps require four hands and because everything is also much more fun and goes faster if you help each other!

Sometimes you don’t have time to assemble the station on the same day as the delivery, or you need more time to organise everything. In that case, remember to take things like locks and marketing materials with you so they don’t get left outside.

A partially dismantled station is not particularly attractive to thieves, but certain measures may still be needed to protect the equipment. Use common sense.

Below you will find the different “Assembly guides” in PDF format. How to mount the lock on the kayakomat can be found under the tab about padlocks.
